Canine Respiratory Disease

A memo on the canine respiratory disease that has been documented across the country. We are asking our wonderful customers to not panic, but to use caution. We have always had very high cleaning standards at Whispering Pines Pet Resort. We clean all indoor and outdoor spaces top to bottom every day. We are asking our customers to stay out of dog parks, out of other facilities and to not let your dog go nose to nose with other dogs out in public. We are working closely with our local veterinarians to stay informed daily.

This is a new bacterial infection that can initially present as canine cough, but can move rapidly into a pneumonia. The veterinarians are seeing nasal and eye discharge with this, as well as lack of appetite and lethargy. If your dog presents any kind of a cough or discharge, you should seek a veterinarian promptly. We also ask that you do not bring your dog here if they are exhibiting any symptoms or have been exposed to other dogs that are exhibiting symptoms. We assure all of our customers that we are on top of the situation. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to us at 303-776-3907. Thank you as always, and we look forward to seeing you soon!
